The staff and owner here are very hospitable and friendly. The food is great- my OH had the ravioli and I had the pork and we both loved our meals. Back for breakfast as we were in our van in the carpark, and again the eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine were done to perfection. It is all in tip top condition and we appreciated it as an ideal stop on our way East to West. Thank you.

We stayed 4 nights and ate at the restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, sometimes all three on the same day. The food was uniformly excellent and the staff super attentive. Room was nicely appointed and even with the proximity to the road was actual nice and quiet. Location is perfect for walking and local hikes and the public transport to Oxford or Thame makes it easy to stay and enjoy the area without having a vehicle.

This is a great pub. Just returned from having possibly the best tasting lunch I've had in a pub setting. All made even better by excellent staff who are friendly and good humoured. The chef is clearly very skilled, presenting dishes that taste so amazing, and are presented very well indeed. I will certainly be returning. Highly recommended!

Exceptional standard throughout. Lovely friendly greeting, we were shown to our room by Dawn the owner. Spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. Sat outside for some tapas which was delicious & very reasonably priced. Booked for dinner at 7pm and it was already busy and service in full swing - definitely book !! We had the halibut mains, the cheese platter and the melt in the middle chocolate fondant with a bottle of Sancerre & Malbec for the cheese. Beautifully presented, beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. Breakfast had to be quick for us but again faultless. All the staff Carley, Abbey & particularly Sarah were knowledgeable, friendly and a credit to the owners Dawn & Stewart. Our thanks to the unseen chef too ! All in all highly highly recommended and would return in a heartbeat. Good luck for well earned continued success.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious and clean. Although it lacked a full length mirror and the bed was a bit spongy, it wouldn't stop me from returning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast both mornings was cooked fresh to order and was excellent. We also had our evening meals in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed them. There is extra parking at the rear of the property.

Had the most amazing cheese and mushroom omelette!! There were so many mushrooms that every bite had a delicious mushroom in it. Our room was lovely and the staff were all friendly and so accommodating. Plus there was a super friendly dog to pet!

Just had a meal in the restaurant and I have to say superb. Staff were fantastic they were so attentive regarding my wife's dairy allergy and the burger I had was the best I'd had in a long while. Definitely recommend and would come again

We visited here because we have passed by on the bus so many times and always said how nice it looked and we must go in sometime. We were not disappointed. On arrival we were met with bright, cheerful smiles from the three front of house staff on duty, shown a choice of tables and helped to settle in, I'm disabled so that was appreciated. The menu is varied and caters for many tastes and requirements as far as I could see. There is quite a long wine list too. The meal was excellent. Overall the experience was most enjoyable and we will be going back again soon. Highly recommend.
